Warranty management for appliance retailers
When a customer calls about a washing machine months after delivery, start with the right product and its recorded coverage. Keep completed service work with the warranty so the next colleague has the context.
Free includes 25 lifetime warranties. Eligible workspaces can choose a 14-day Pro trial without a credit card.Record the appliance, not just the household
A customer may buy a refrigerator, oven and washing machine in one order. Give each warranted product a clear identity and the coverage applicable to it, rather than assuming one household note explains every item. Record model and serial details where available and preserve the invoice reference. Warly’s customer profile helps staff navigate that customer’s warranties and service history in the merchant workspace.
Check longer coverage periods carefully
Use product defaults to reduce retyping but verify the start and expiry dates for each sale. Separate the coverage your store provides from manufacturer terms and any separately promised labor or parts arrangements. Warly records warranty dates and terms; it does not automatically model layered component warranties or register appliances with manufacturers. Do not turn a broad advertising phrase into a single expiry date without checking what the promise actually covers.
Give the buyer access without moving the appliance
A QR code hidden behind a refrigerator is difficult to use when the customer needs help. Share the warranty link and consider including the printed QR with accessible purchase or delivery paperwork. Check that each code points to the right appliance. Keep your store’s contact route available for a customer who cannot scan, and retain any required purchase evidence alongside your process.
Retain the result of each completed visit
For an illustrative washer repair, record the inspection date, technician, observed fault, work performed and parts replaced. If a later visit finds a different issue, the previous entry helps the next employee understand what was already tried. Warly supports service entries on the warranty and technician assignment with eligible team access. It does not schedule appointments, optimize travel routes or dispatch visits; use your scheduling process for those tasks.
Keep claims and service decisions in step
A customer’s reported issue and the work performed are separate records. With an eligible claims plan, review the claim evidence and warranty terms, then record the permitted status or resolution. Add the completed repair to the warranty’s service history separately. The customer’s linked Portal can show claim progress, while internal service history stays in the merchant workspace. Tell the customer the next step through your normal contact channel rather than assuming every internal service note is visible to them.
Start with one appliance range
Choose a familiar range, prepare catalog entries, review terms and issue a few carefully checked records. Test staff lookup and the customer QR handoff before adding more ranges. Free supports up to 25 lifetime warranties; eligible workspaces can choose a 14-day Pro trial for claims and teams. Paid self-service checkout is not currently available, so contact Warly to arrange an upgrade when needed.
