Create and find customers
Add a customer, search customer records, and update contact details.
Who can manage customers
Owners, Admins, and Staff can view, create, and edit customer records. Technicians cannot. Customers in this list belong to this business; the list is separate from Customer Portal accounts.
Add or find a customer
- Open Customers and select Add customer.
- Enter the name and phone number with the correct country. Email is optional.
- Select Save customer. Creating a warranty for a new phone also creates a customer record.
- Search Customers by name, phone, or email, then open the profile. Use pagination if needed.
Phone and duplicate handling
Warly normalizes valid phone numbers to an international form. Adding a customer with an already saved phone reuses the existing customer rather than overwriting their details. Matching names alone do not merge customers.
An edited phone cannot belong to another customer. A previously used phone can continue to lead to the original customer after correction, so do not use phone changes as a way to reassign historical warranties. Ask Warly for help with records associated with the wrong person.
Email is optional and should belong to the intended person. Manual customer entry is primarily matched by phone; CSV imports also skip duplicate emails. Check existing records rather than creating duplicates to fix a contact problem.
Edit the saved profile
- Open the customer profile and select Edit customer.
- Correct the name, phone, or email, then select Save customer.
- Review future warranty selections using that customer. Saved profile changes do not rewrite contact details on previously issued warranties.
Limits and privacy
There is no customer delete or merge action in the current interface. Use Contact Warly for unresolved duplicate or privacy requests. Creating or editing a profile alone does not send a warranty email or create a Customer Portal login.
