Edit warranty details or extend coverage

Correct supported warranty fields, add coverage months, and review the recorded changes.

Edit supported details

  1. Open the warranty and select Edit warranty as an Owner, Admin, or Staff member.
  2. Update product name, brand, model, serial number, warranty terms, or Private notes in the dialog.
  3. Save and review the result. Terms appear publicly; private notes do not.

Fields you cannot change here

The current Edit warranty dialog does not edit the customer contact or association, purchase date, purchase price, or original duration. Updating a saved customer or catalog product does not rewrite this warranty. Ask Warly for help with an incorrect historical customer association rather than inventing a replacement record.

Extend coverage

  1. As an Owner or Admin, open a non-void warranty and choose Extend.
  2. Enter Additional months from 1 to 120 and an optional Reason.
  3. Confirm the extension, then review the new Covered until date and public page.

How extension works

Additional coverage starts from the existing expiration date, including when the warranty is already Expired. It does not start from today. If the resulting expiration is still in the past, the warranty remains Expired. An extension updates coverage on the same record and does not create another warranty.

History and irreversible actions

Activity records warranty creation, edits, extensions, and service events. Owners and Admins can also review the business Audit log. There is no general undo button. A Void warranty cannot be edited or extended, and the merchant interface has no warranty deletion action.
